The Draft Workflow

Every chapter starts as a draft. Drafts are private — only you can see them. This gives you space to write, revise, and polish before anyone else reads your work.

From the chapter management page, you can see all your chapters organized by status: Draft, Scheduled, Published, and Advance. This makes it easy to manage even stories with hundreds of chapters.

Scheduling Chapters

Scheduling is one of the most powerful features for maintaining a consistent release cadence. When publishing a chapter, toggle on scheduling and pick a date and time. The chapter will automatically go live at that moment.

Many authors batch-write chapters on weekends and schedule them throughout the week. This keeps your readers happy with regular releases while giving you flexibility in your writing time.

💡 Tip: Set a consistent schedule (e.g., Monday/Wednesday/Friday at 6 PM) and stick to it. Readers love predictability and will build your release times into their routine.

Reordering Chapters

Need to reorganize your chapters? The chapter management page supports drag-and-drop reordering. Simply grab a chapter by its handle and drag it to the new position. Chapter numbers will automatically update.

This is particularly useful if you decide to add a prologue, interlude, or bonus chapter between existing ones.

Bulk Operations

For stories with many chapters, individual management can be tedious. Use the bulk select feature to select multiple chapters and perform actions on all of them at once — like publishing several drafts, deleting test chapters, or changing visibility.
